Vikash supports 450 children with intellectual disabilities in Puri, Koraput, Malkangiri, and Nabarangpur through residential and community services. They prioritize children with special needs, with professionals such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, special educators, and counsellors making home visits. These professionals provide therapies, special education, and ADL training. During visits, they train CBR workers, parents, and volunteers, enabling parents to manage their children's needs in the absence of professionals.

Through the Mission Education Programme, Vikash aims to prepare these children for enrollment, retention, and participation in mainstream education. Recognizing the necessity for special attention and care due to their dependency on families, Vikash addresses the challenge faced by poor and ultra-poor families who struggle to provide adequate time and care while sustaining their livelihoods.
