Mr Ashutosh Hota

  • Ashutosh Hota holds a Master degree in Social Work. He is graduated in Arts and law from Sambalpur University.
  • He has 20 years of experience in development and microfinance sector.
  • He has rich experience in the field of Disability, Child Protection, Mental Health, Livelihood & Agriculture, Consumer Rights, Child Education, Women & youth empowerment.
  • During this period he has served as a Core Team member in the Odisha State Steering Committee on ‘WE CAN CAMPAIGN’ to end violence against women. Ashutosh has a fruitful association with ‘Basic Needs India’, where he has served as an Odisha State Consortium Coordinator to support the partner Organisation of basic Needs India for implementing the Community mental Health & Development Programme in Odisha.
  • He was an Advisor to the District Chapter of Neheru Yuva Kendra, Subarnapur district. He has also served as the General Secretary-cum-CEO of Research Academy for Rural Enrichment (RARE) for a period of 3 years. Ashutosh has working experience as a Branch Head in a leading microfinance company.
  • He has successfully contributed the protection of rights of Persons with Disabilities, Children, Consumers and women. He has contributed much in policy level actions at State and National level on developmental issues with different capacities.
  • As an individual Ashutosh is highly motivated, well-organized, articulated, flexible person and able to work under pressure in any difficult situations and prioritize work/time in a very systematic manner.
  • He has demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent inter-personal skills, excellent people management, team-building skills and the ability to forge relationships with people/organizations from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures and institutional perspectives.
  • At Vikash, Ashutosh heads the programme department where he is responsible for monitoring the implementation of programmes, liasioning with Government machineries, resource mobilization, Donor management and strategic planning.
