Village Organisational Development(OD)

The most important component of development planning in a tribal area is natural resource management.

Vikash is trying an innovative model called “village OD “ using various tools of participatory planning, and organizational development.

The model has enough scope for illiterate people to participate in the

 planning process.

The photo above shows the villagers in a remote tribal village

making a vision map in the “village  OD Process”.

Villagers, government officials , experts, PRI functionaries, village teachers and NGO functionaries put their minds together . The community is the host, Vikash only facilitates the process and arranges the participation of experts. The output in the form of a plan is documented both in the pictorial  form and written form.
